Freedom on Free Will

When a critical controversy such as whether or not free will truly exits, I believe there’s more to it then a quick black and white answer. For most people, I don’t believe free will exists, because there’s very rare cases when we don’t think about the action were about to do before we do it. As the text in the book states “the freedom of not acting also exists, but too often this results from the fear of being caught, not profiting from the act, and which cannot be constructed as a true denial of will.” That text is very much true, because how can free will truly be free, if were continuously or perhaps a brief moment of doubt, of whether the consequences we would pay, or whether we would be hurting someone and how we might feel about it after, or to not gain anything by doing good for someone else. “Regret and relief influences us to choose one answer”, from this text in the chapter, we see how free will could just be human’s nature to do based on laws that are implemented, or whether were being a good friend and someday that person will return the favor. But then again regret is a way to prove that free will does exist, because we could have committed a crime in order to save our selves, and in regretting the choice we made, would probably be because we made choice on your needs of survival. “Psychoanalysis determines people’s lives by unconscious prior causes or thoughts”, this text from the chapter helps prove that free will may not exist due to the unconscious motive one may not even notice until after they have done what they’ve done, and realize the motive or leaning for their choice. But, as I said before, free will cannot be answered in a black or white answer but more of a grey, because as psychoanalysis always proves free will exists by stating that “it aims to lead people to a rational state of mind in which free choice is possible”, because of our choices were made for us because of the psychological or biological deficiencies one might be facing.
